Sure it can it's a Belarus . I will flip rims to decrease the distance from housing to rim holders. It has adjustable holder on the rear axle so you can move it according to the wheels you use.

Main frame is finished, top coat has to dry 2-3 days. Next comes sideshift and swing mechanism. After that hydraulic tank and hoses...hopefully soon

Mounted the sideshift frame to determine the best position to mount the oil tank.

Yes, i had other plans but then a hole fell in my shop heater, so i had to make a new one first. If this one lasts another 45 years like the old one, its worth it.

Why’d you go with the vertical stabilizers vs the swing down ones like most backhoes?

Because this way I get side shift. Whole boom assembly and kingpost moves left-right so you can dig next to a wall, fence, any small space. Other advantage is that you can fold the boom as close as possible to the tractor so you get more manuverability, stability, tractor can travel faster and up a steeper slope. Here, a backhoe with swing down stabilizers is a rare thing...

I figured it was going to have side shift judging by the rails. I’d rather have the stability of the wider stabilizers vs the side shift though. My mini x and M59 backhoe and it’s junk stabilizers both suffer greatly trying to work off the side. My 310 hoe with it’s huge stabilizers didn’t have that problem.

Your outboard stablisers mimics the design of the original JCB backhoe loader that is by far the most popular here in the UK.
I've not seen many other stabiliser designs on machines we get over here.

I've seen the sideshift option on US machines, doesn't seem to be very popular over here though.

Today I bent metal sheets to make a hydraulic oil tank, so here are the results...

Always enjoy your posts and professional fabrication skills. The vertical stabilizers are rare in the US and sought after by foundation repair folks. A local excavator contractor made and marketed retro kits to convert to vertical stabilizers. Coupled with the side shift ability makes yours a very versatile platform.

Today I mounted both stabilizers, cylinders and pads and sprayed last coat of color. Besides that, oil tank is nearly finished..
