Towing a trailer

/ Towing a trailer #41
If a fan "pushes" air from the engine compartment outward through the radiator, it would be drawing warm air from around the engine instead of cool fresh air from outside; disadvantage. On the other hand, it would plow dust and grass away from the grill and outside of the radiator instead of of sucking it into it; advantage. Now which is best? I have no idea. But I do know that the only time my temperature gauge gets to the halfway mark or above, I need to stop and clean the debris off the front end.

9N Fords blew, 8Ns sucked. People are still argueing which is best 60 years later. I guess if you wanted to you could have a puller for the winter and a pusher for the summer. Ditch the crank driven fan and install an electric fan with a reversing switch. When the radiator plugs, reverse the fan. When you're cold, pull the air. Get a little hot, reverse it. I might try it someday.
