Spreader tow spreader

I'm looking for a high quality tow behind spreader that has a heavy duty gearbox and the ability to disengage the driving wheel. I really like the tuf line bio logic spreader (@600 lb capacity and $1000-$1200) but only need about 300 lb and want to spend about 1/2 that amount.

Any suggestions?

Does it have to be a tow behind? I think a 3 point hitch spreader would otherwise meet your price and you would be able to disengage with pto.
