Torque settings and leverage

The recommended toque setting for my DS4510 rear wheel bolts are about 200lb/ft . The loader to frame fasteners also have high torque settings.

I have a 1/2'' drive torque wrench that is only calibrated to 100lb/ft.

I do not particularly want to buy another torque wrench so I have been tightening the 24 mm head bolts with a one ft swivel bar and 1/2'' drive using as much force as I can.

My concern is that I am not producing enough torque to achieve the required setting .

As an approximate rule and based on an average man's full strength what length of bar (or pipe on the end of the bar) on a 24mm bolt head would be adequate to generate 200ft/lb ?

If you weigh exactly 200lb, stand on a horizontal wrench exactly 12 inches from the lug. Or apply 100lb of force 24 inches out, 50lb 48 inches out, etc.

would be easier to just go purchase an inexpensive 50-250 1/2" drive torque wrench... you can buy one from Harbor Freight, Autozone..etc...

Definitely cheaper than breaking/stripping wheel studs and bolts...
