Good evening

I'm considering purchasing a 970 thats in great shape. i plan to use it for mowing and a little dirt work here and there. I would want to add top and tilt cylinders to the rear 3 point. Is it as simple as just finding he right cylinders the routing the lines to the QD for the loader(tractor does not have a loader so I have the valve I could use to control these cylinders). I would also like to add a 3rd remote to the rear for powered scrappers or log splitter. Can I use a modern "kit" on this 970?

thanks for any help.

Good source of components as well as complete solutions is Brian at Fit-Rite. All my hydraulic top and side links cylinders came from Brian. Highly likely he has already done a Tractor like yours.

If you have the valve and outlets, then yes, it's as simple as finding the right cylinders and routing hoses. There may be ready-made cylinders with the right hardware on the ends for your tractor, or maybe not. In that case you'll need to chop off the ends and put your own hardware on. That's what I did for the cylinders on my tractors. It wasn't too hard. They aren't beautiful like Brian's, and they don't come out of the box guaranteed to fit correctly, but I got the job done.

Brian is the go to on the T&T

As for the 3rd function or valve kit, try contacting KennyD here or at Ken's Bolt on Grab Hooks <<Home>> . He is a JD expert. First check here in the JD forum or look over at one of the JD forums for additional information
Hope this helps
