Tooth Bar?

The New Holland tooth bar is fine, but can't be installed if you also have the cutter bar installed on the bucket (the line of holes across your cutting edge). There are other manufacturers who make a toothbar to fit over the addon cutting edge. In my opinion, that makes the cutting edge almost indestructable and I am going to buy that kind since I have the bolt on cutting edge already.

Roy: i find the detachable toothbar to be very useful, i can take it off and put it on in 5 min.i had some piles of dirt that had been sitting for a year or so, and the toothbar made it much easier to break up. i got mine from Mr. Carver, dealer wanted $30 more and 3 to 4 weeks for delivery, carvers had it to me in 8 days. don't know if this del. time is normal or if i was just lucky. drill 2 holes and you are done. took all of 3/4 of an hour.

You may want to take a look at the Rezloh toothbar. It is more like a front rake than the normal tooth bar. Been great for breakin ice, put the bucket down with the teeth diggin in and scrape in reverse. May not dig in packed dirt quite as well regular tooth bars, lose stuff, no problem. I really like the extra 8 in that it adds to the bucked, makes digging and loading big rocks a lot easer. Took about a day for me to install, had to drill holes in my standard bucket. So far, it has really been worth the addition to the bucket.

Who makes the toothbar that fits over a bolt-on cutting edge? [I have a New Holland 16LA, 6' HD bucket on TC45D].
