Replacing a couple broken tines on my Howard Rotavator, getting it ready for a job coming up,

This tiller has over 2,000 acres under its belt and it's still on its original chain, sprockets, bearings, seals ect..

Howards just last and last and last!!

The front pond is low, so I scooped out some dirt today:

Dumped one cubic yard in this low spot from a tree that I had removed:

Spread out and wheel packed it:

Thought I’d extend chains for stabilizers flipped, and transport mode, actually went ok.

Been wanting to pull off BH plate and lube everything, went ok until I put plate back on. Stripped the threads on 1 bolt (of 4). Geez, seems like I’m always fixing something! Wife says “you like to tinker so have at it.”

Graded a section of road today that got chewed up pretty good from a down pour a couple days ago. Didn't help that I had a couple significant wheel depressions left over from mud season leading into and coming down the hill. Roughed it back into shape with the rear blade, then finished it off with the LandPlane, and last packed it with my One-Ton which I was doing when I took the picture.

You didn't get rain this weekend?

You didn't get rain this weekend?

It's rained some every day for two weeks. Poured Friday night and rained all day Saturday but today was just cloudy. The road was damper than necessary but not to wet to work this afternoon. Being a hill it drains well.

If you really need that stripped out bolt you can built it up
by welding it and then cut new threads and your back in

I need to find my liquid fill tire gauge. As delivered the tires are way to hard.
Even on the gravel it's not getting a full tread on the ground much less two bars.
You can see in the lower picture even with the backhoe in the air the tires don't have any bulge or contact patch.
I was a bit surprised bringing it up the driveway I had to drop into low range, she didn't want to drive up in mid range.
I did have the AC on so it was sucking up a couple of hp and the backhoe is around 900# but it was not very impressive,
hopefully it picks up a bit as it breaks in, we shall see how it's doing at the 50 hour engine oil change.

It will pick up a bit once you tweak that injector pump a bit. Lol That is what I did on my 25hp Kioti. Made a nice improvement and it does not have HST or AC. Nice tractor though and I am sure it will serve you well for many years to come. Congratulations!

Is this tractor in addition to your others in the stable, or is it a replacement for one that got phased out?

At this time it's an addition, later I may move the IH574.
But I still have more implements then tractors :ROFLMAO:
And I'll likely need to get a small brush hog for this one and likely a lighter rear blade,
it never ends. But my wife wanted something that she would feel comfortable if she needed to drive one in the winter to get down the driveway. She isn't comfortable with the Branson or the NH and the IH is to hard for her to get started.

Mowed for the neighbor for about 2 hrs. Second cutting on her weed crop. Darn Mustard won't quit growing with the cool damp mornings and sunny afternoons. A little morning dew and it thinks it has been watered.

Made this redneck retaining wall. If we ever get rain this portion floods out. Gonna have 20ton of gravel delivered so I can build the road up and hope it holds.
