Tractor
TN70D, 4wd, 16x16 trans
Guys,

I finally got my tractor!

A TN70 D with a 16x16 trans, and a 32 LA loader.

Its been raining hard here so it has it's first coat of mud.
Can't wait for it to dry out a bit so I can work with this thing.

Fred

Wow, Fred! /w3tcompact/icons/shocked.gif

Looks like it was worth the wait! That's one serious-looking piece of machinery, and with all the creature comforts, too.

I look forward to seeing pictures of 'er in action, when it stops raining, of course.

Fred..she a beauty.
The next clear day if I were you I would call in sick to work /w3tcompact/icons/eyes.gif and enjoy myself in the seat. /w3tcompact/icons/wink.gif

Looks like you got a real area to store and work on her as well.

Have fun and be safe.

Just wondering, what does the D in 70D stand for? For the Boomers it's for the Hydro and other upgrades, but you've got the 16x16 trans.

BTW nice looking loader on that beast

D = Deluxe on the NH tractors.

You won't find a hydro on a tractor other than a compact unless you look at a Fendt. The D like Muhammad said means deluxe and for the TN's deluxe means Cab.

I did not know that the D stands for deluxe, but all the cab models are a D or an S. The S also has supersteer.
The S model is the real deluxe with electronic PTO controls, etc.. The dealer I bought this from had a TN75S with most of the options. This machine costs alot more than the unit I bought and had 240 hours on it!

I got the cab because last year I had a TN65 that I was renting to bush hog some of my feilds. I have such a great stand of rag weed that it nearly killed me. The cutter chops it up into a fine mist.

At any rate it adds about 15% to the cost of the unit to get the cab. Since I plan to keep this guy for the next ten plus years this makes sense.

Also I really did not need the 16x16 but everyone claims that the cab models are nolonger made with the 8x8, and I could not find any machines with the 8x8.

Robert: Your right. I don't think any one makes a unit with this much HP and hydro.

The reason I got this much HP is I want to run a bailer.

Harv; I'll do my best with some action shots but it's real hard to get the camera operator excited about tractors!
