Well looks like I'm going to jump in the creek and get a L3010 tomorrow! $17900 with FEL, fold ROPS, HD Bucket, Ballast in tires. Hope The price is right, I checked all the dealers in this area and that's the best I could get.

Congratulations, Joe. That ought to be a nice rig. I'm sure you're going to enjoy it.

Now go ahead and register and be a regular part of the group.

By the way it's a HST, looked at it again yesterday and it looks like a monster but I'm sure once I get it and use it some it won't seem too big or so I hope.

I think it was my dad that told me "I don't want you to play with those firecrackers!" I asked "why dad?" He said "Before you know it, you'll want bigger ones and that can be dangerous!"
He was right!
I'm sure you'll not regret your choice. But you'll probably (like me) drive by the dealer somewhere down the line and see the big M series tractors and start to dream.

Well I guess I better start going to the "owning a Kubota" discussion, bought a L3410! Went to get the 3010 but went ahead and moved up a model. Brad, I got it at Edwards Equipment in Danvile, they treated me great and beat everybody on price. I shopped the westfield dealer but they were more money and just didn't seem like they really cared if I bought one or not, same way with Garco on the southeast side.Maybe they thought I wasn't serious. Just for comparison I paid $20,050 and got the L3410 with FEL, HD round back bucket, folding ROPS, ballast in tires, 6' bush hog, 6' rear blade. Ha, when I went in I was ready to get the 3010 with just the FEL but my wife said to go to the bigger HP, then went ahead and added the blade and the cutter. Needless to say I can't wait till that beast gets delivered!

Joe, congratulations on your purchase! Be sure to take some photos on delivery day. Sounds like your wife is a real keeper too!

Joe, way to go, you got yourself a real work horse with the 3410. I must have read your post wrong. I thought you said your wife told you to get more tractor plus implements you were not planning on. Do you think I can have my wife call her and pick up on a bit of that way of thinking?/w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

Joe -

Holy Cow!!! /w3tcompact/icons/shocked.gif

Your wife told you to get the bigger tractor?

When I was shopping, I was also looking at the 3010-sized machines, but when when we found a 2500 at a good price, my wife gave me the "size doesn't matter" speech and challenged me to prove that we couldn't get by with the smaller tractor. I am now the proud owner of an L2500. /w3tcompact/icons/crazy.gif

The good news for all (but especially for you) is that even with filled rear tires and 600 pounds of boxscraper on the back, I run out of traction long before I run out of power. With the weight and juice you got going for you, you won't find much that you can't do with that bad boy. /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

Congratulations on your upcoming very Merry Christmas!

I'm only a little jealous.

Hey Joe this is great!

Enjoy that new machine of yours. The L3410 is a wonderful machine. Just curious, which tires did you get.. R4? BTW, if the dealer is still feeling charitable have him throw in some service manuals. They are usually highly informative and easy to read.

Enjoy your new ride and let us know when you take delivery,

Peter

Ha! Sorry guys but I've had her for 26 years and I'm keeping her! Dealer called today and they have it ready to rock, can't wait till Saturday to really check it out. From the little I drove it at the dealership the HST is smooth and strong, I'll take some mug shots of it on Saturday and post them ASAP.

Peter, went with the Ag's, thought I wanted the R-4's but the dealer said he liked the Ag's better, felt like they didn't clog up as much in mud and snow, and the ride is softer. Rare that a dealer won't try and sell you something that cost more, can't say enough good things about Edwards Equipment so far.
