Re: Tire\'s Cracking.

Don't know of any way to un-do tire cracking but if you get another set that are new or with out cracks, keep them out of the sun and weather when they aren't being used.

Re: Tire\'s Cracking.

Keep the tractor in the garage or shed. The sun will tear your tires up! Keep it out of the Sun and weather. The whole tractor will be happier. You will too because you'll save the $200-500 each rear tires, not to mention the fronts... /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif

are you by any chance moving any manure, or acidic material? those things will rot the tires/paint off anything it touches unless washed after use. if not then like everyone else was saying, keep it out of the weather when stored, or at least out of the sun.

Re: Tire\'s Cracking.

Worse thing I have seen on tires is UV light. Growing up we never wore out a tire. We either hit something and tore it up or it dry rotted and popped.
Best bet is keep it out of the big sun when not in use. And here in East Texas it seems the setting Sun is the hardest on stuff. We had an open wheeled trailer sitting N to S and the tires on the West side gave up first.
