Tire won’t take air.

I will use head gasket goop on the rim at the bead area, sometimes also on the tire bead, too. Then when you push the carcass towards the rim, it sticks, and the airflow will fill it.

I've also use the starting fluid technique with great success ! just a spurt. Done. But it takes some 'sperience to know how much is enough. For this to work, the tire bead has to be tight on the rim. Many of the imported tires now are too loose on the rim to stay put.

On larger tires I have successfully used a ratchet strap around the circumference and snugged it up to compress the tire, maybe something similar with tie wire to cinch the tire up.

That works on most soft tires such as automobile and lawn equipment. ST trailer tires are heavy and stiff. The problem with the strap is that it doesn't slip so only the section under the ratchet gets most of the compression. I had to use 2 ratchet straps, tried to use 3 but the strap to hook was too long. Got 3 out of 4 tires inflated then finally took the 4th to a tire shop and pleaded for mercy. Tire tech got a good laugh. Put the wheel on his machine that has a ring of high volume air blowing up under the tire which obediently popped into place. I gave him $5. A bargain.

remove the valve core and plug just a male fitting into your air hose and use it on the valve stem.

Not all air hose chucks will inflate a tire valve without core. I have one now but did not then.

Put Slime in the tire, & try the ratchet strap. I keep Slime in all my small tires--they stay inflated much longer, and I've never had any problem.

Tubes are crap too, I just replace with flat-free tires and forget about it.
