Not knowing how to use a box scraper when I got my tractor, I only purchased the tilt cylinder and control. After seeing a neighbor use the tip cylinder I had to add it. Unfortunately the dealer quoted me $700 to add another valving setup and 2nd control lever. I ended up getting the tip cylinder from the dealer for $225, selector valve from Northern $79, quick disconnects and hoses $150 appx., and put this system together. I have to use the selector valve to choose a cylinder but over all it works well. What I gained in control over the box scraper easily made up for the money and effort.
My suggestion to anyone buying a new tractor would be to order all of the extra valving up front even if you're not sure how you'll use it. It's a whole lot cheaper and easier to have it available later.
