I am a new tractor owner. I bought a used 4310 2070 hrs. It now has 2075, I also purchased a new 5' rotary cutter. As I mow the throttle will not stay set at 2600 rpm setting. I have to constantly use my hand to keep up the rpm, it wants to drop back to about 2000. I expect this is some sort of linkage problem. Any suggestions how I should attack this?

If i remember correctly you need to remove the panel where the parking brake lever is and tighten up a 13mm nut and bolt attached to the throttle lever. By tightening here it increases the resistance on the linkage and holds the throttle at the desired level.
