I have a Branson 2400H and I am having problems keeping the throttle set. There appears to be no friction to hold it in place. I tightened the nuts at the fuel pump (?) and that helped for a little bit but not now.

Is there another place to get more friction? I looked at the linkage and I don稚 see any. Or is there a spring that I can adjust to reduce the pressure.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

You need to adjust the throttle lever. The friction discs and nuts to adjust are behind the dash.

Here is a picture of the parts list to help:

The nuts you need to adjust are marked as number 7.

You will need a thin 12 or 13mm end wrench to hold the top nut while you tighten the bottom jam nut. A little challenging to get two wrenches in that area but doable.

The design has a tendency to work these nuts loose.

Thank you both for the information. That fixed the problem. It is tight now.

And with the warning about needing a thinner wrench, I just ground down an extra 12mm wrench and didn’t waste time trying it without.
