Exactly correct!

Having grown up on a ffarm I am used to such and don't mind waiting for a legal pass. I do mind an equipment operator on a highway with 20+ rigs bihind him NOT taking an opertunity to pull over and let them buy should be ticketed.

#1...farm equipment is getting bigger while most roads stay the same size.

#2...most people do not take the time to read the state statutes, or put themselves in the farmer's boots.

My state passed a law that you can NOT pass farm equipment with a SMV sign in a no-passing zone...period.

That sounds pretty stupid. I may be wrong but one should be able to do it in Washington state. It is legal to cross a double yellow to pass an obstruction "if it can be done safely". Surely a 20mph tractor in 65mph traffic should arguably be classified as an obstruction.

Around here I don't mind the tractors and farm equipment but the bicyclist are very disrespectful

I agree the bycycleists act like they own the road and cars are inconveniancing them. i have had a number of close calls on curvy roads when they are riding in the middle. then i get flipped off when i go around.

What always amazes me is that they want all the rights of a motorist when travelling down the road; yet how many cyclists actually stop at red lights and wait in line at stop signs?

There is no valid reason for a law like that. Further comment would have to go to another section I don't view.

Actually, around here, if it's a no passing zone, it's usually because you can't see far enough to tell if it's safe to pass.

Agreed, but that's designed to be at road speed. It takes a lot longer distance to pass a vehicle doing 55 than it does one traveling at 20 or less.
