/ Those bed liner conveyor things for pickups #22
Sorry guys. I'm dealing with my second hard drive crash this year. I'll get new pics and fix the access to the vid.

Hey Steve,

You have my complete sympathy. Did you have it backed up?

Our died this year, and I only had partial backups, but I'm going to try using a Linux-based data recovery USB called Geeps from Geeks.com to recover the data, if there is any there to recover.

In the meantime, we're using an older, slower PC running WinXPSP3, and the wait times are driving me spare....

Whether you are able to post the pictures or not, I still want to thank for sharing the idea and concept, one way or another, we're going to figure it out and get it done.

Good luck,
Thomas

Been there, done that. About 5 years ago a sudden catastrophic failure w/o backup. Ended up sending drive to one of those data recovery places - expensive, but I got the important stuff back.

Once I get all my components, I'll start building and documenting my version. I think, I have all the pieces on order now. Shipping to Hawaii is two choices - expensive or sucks, and I'm trying to keep my costs down on this one.

Which company did you use? I have hard drive that contains my first sons photos, like 3-4 years worth.

I'll look to see if I still have the info, but they advertise in the back of computer mags - at least they used to.

Hopefully living in a world-acclaimed tropical paradise makes it all worth it :)

Count me in as one looking forward to seeing your build progress (so I can shamelessly plagarize it).

Thanks,
Thomas

Working on my build. Here is a pic of the components.

The Loadhandler is mounted to my trailer. Had to make a few mods to method of mounting, without actually modding either the Loadhandler or my trailer.

Hopefully, I can get it all together tomorrow and will start its own thread. Will post a link from here. The new post will have a list of the parts and where I bought them (hopefully) :)

Reviving an old thread. Can someone post pics of their build to power assist one of these cargo unloaders?

Electric drill on the crank?

I had considered a cheap HF 2500 lb winch as they come with a remote control however, I don't know how to attach the shaft of the unloader. I don't think a drill would have the required torque and I want to be able to drop loam and gravel as I tow my trailer behind my tractor.

Here's a thought. Load the material on top of a sheet of plywood then pull it all off with the tractor. Just thinkin it might be easier than fooling around with all that stuff.

There are stacks of videos about those devices on youtube.

I know, I watched them. I'm looking for a way to make this a powered unit. Thinking of something along the lines of a small winch in line with the shaft. The winch will do the cranking while I tow the 4x8 trailer. I know this has been done and cannot find the photos. I don't know how to attach the shaft to the winch.
