Once we get enough rain in the fall CalFire will allow open burning with out a permit. Usually get a good 4 month window. Lots of encouragement to clear things up because fire danger in the summer is real scary.

We have 18+ acres. About half is oak and brush. Lots of poison oak. Purchased the grapple this year. Finally doing some serious cleanup. And getting some good firewood in the process.

Now that California has loosened restrictions on controlled burns, that might be a way for you and other private property owners to reduce the risk of damage from wildfires. Good luck, my friend.
