Great vid! Here's a good example of an operator keeping the load path centered on the grapple. That grapple could be two feet wider on each side and not hurt anything.

He does a good job. Our grapples are very popular with Kubota tractor owners and gaining with JD guys.
With pics like this on the interweb, the choice is obvious!

I like that style and almost went with it. I have an idea and the other grapple will work better with it. Plus I don't really want to plow up roots with my FEL. I'm thinking the rippers on the BB will do that better and without stressing the FEL. The grapple can comb the debris out of the spoils.

On another note his hoses are hanging too low to for around here. Those would likely get pulled off.

I usually recommend the ultra light, 200 pound rake style if it's a subcompact tractor, if someone wants to rake backwards, if someone wants to rip limbs/vines down from a tree, or if they plan on totally testing and maxing out their lift capacity by lifting heavy objects.

The dozer like geometry of the rake style also increases a smaller tractor's ability to doze the tines through the ground, but our Wicked tine design of the long bottom grapples also promote it.

I just can't share this enough. Like no other!

My 66" Wicked Grapple is just barely able to move my large square hay bales. That comes is really handy. But I can only stack them 2 high.
