Double breakaway coupling clamp -- anyone using them?
Where and how do you mount it?

The EA grapple comes with one male and one female. I guess I need to change out one of them.

Just to clear, a double breakaway coupling clamp holds the quick connects in place. My W.R.Long 3rd function kit had a mounting solution for the quick connects to hold them in place. If you looking for a holder for the quick connects any farm supply has them. Ted's video form EA shows laying the hoses across the front loader brace with no coupling clamp.

EA sends one male and one female so you can easily hook the quick connects up properly so the control works the same each time like Rick stated. I wouldn't want both quick connects the same.

Also when you order a grapple from EA Travis will ask what 3rd function kit/quick connects you have and supply the correct matching couplers already set up on the grapple.

Did mine with the brackets, red and black plugs, painted the grapple end connector red so It's easy to match. 20151115_211526.jpg

Sorry, thought he was thinking of one of these gadgets;

. The problem I see with IT is he feels it's his place to come into an advertisers thread and and talk down about what EA is doing. They pay to promote their product here. No reason to dog them for that.

You should read more, try it sometime. IT regularly promotes EA and has, by EA's own admission, been the source of improvements in the EA lineup. IT has even admited on more than one occasion that EA's grapples are designed better than his own. Does he have an opinion on the size, weight and configuration? Absolutely. Is that bad?

I've literally read every post in this thread. Him talking down is what sticks out the most. Yes he has convinced EA to build that small single lid with his constant mentioning about how much better his is and potential customers asking for it. It works good for some applications but as I said there isn't a end all be all perfect for every application grapple. I can assure you he's more a thorn than a blessing

Right. I'm just talking a bout a clamp like the one shown here.

It seems to take three hands to connect couplers swinging around loose.
This seems like it will make it much easier to connect them.
And I was going to use a zip tie, tape or paint to identify which two mate.

That is a clean installation Helitech.

Thank you one and all for your help.

To my knowledge, neither Travis nor Ted have ?ever participated in other TBN threads started by someone outside of EA. Virtually all the other sponsors do.

Wrong, I have seen many posts by Travis in other threads, not even mentioning EA products. :thumbsup:

Glad to hear that. I just haven't seen such posts I guess. He and Ted are certainly not as active in non commercial threads as other sponsors. I'm blanking on the PA Kubota dealer's name who participates frequently but Davestractor is to me the role model for other sponsors.
