Got a lot of work done this week with my old tractor. I finished up (almost) with some planting tonight. Hay barley and wheat. The old tractor did great. The newer drill blew a hydrolic line. I guess you never know.

Jon,

You have some beautiful country in your "neck of the woods" (figuratively speaking:)).

Well you know the saying, "They don't make things like they used to..." Haha just kidding .

Great looking property and great looking tractor setup there. At least the broken hydraulic line on the drill will be covered by warranty :confused2:.

Question on the drill. I believe it is a JD 450. A friend of mine bought it about four years ago new. I have no idea where he bought it. He sold his property and the drill went with the property. I'm friends with the new owner and he let me borrow it. This drill probably doesn't have 5 hours of use on it. Will it still be covered under warranty and if so how do I go about getting it fixed?

I showed it to my friend (professional mechanic) that works on the tractor for me. What blew is a hydrolic fitting (boso ring) that screws into the ram. The threads on the fitting are stripped. He said he think the ram is ok, but won't know until I get the part and replace it and try it out.
