( A window unit would actually do the trick for only about $150, my next door neighbor has two used ones in his garage that he paid $20 each for at a garage sale, keeps it nice and cool in there! He leaves them on all night, in fact 24/7 in the summer, works like a charm............. )

I bought (what is apparently the LAST one in Louisville) an 18,000BTU window unit yesterday for my shop office. Set me back $529.... YEP...

Practically have frost on the windows right now though. (94* and unGODly humidity outside)

RobS . . . nope they left Indianapolis about 20 years ago. We have no family left down there. Her entire family is now in Albuquerque (brother, sister & mom). BTW, the lovely Mrs_Bob just called, her sister's surgery went well yesterday, she will be released from the hospital later today and won't be doing much lifting for a little while.

GeneD. . . I have a nice padded stool in there, but no recliner. A mini-fridge is a must!

Kyle . . . thanks, but I don't need any more help cutting cable! The fence guy's auger (mounted on a Power Trac 422) actually spun the cable around the bit and pulled 6 cables right out of the ground!

Jagmandave . . . no to the window unit. Other than the fact that Indydirtfarmer bought the last one in this area (at a premium price too), all 5 windows in the shop are side opening casement windows so a window unit won't fit. The shop is insulated/drywalled to the standards of a normal house so when I do get the AC installed, it will be very comfy!

Gee Bob, at least my barn is air conditioned. /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif However, I can tell you that 2 three ton units will not do a good job and keep it nice and cool on a 100 degree day. /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif Even worse is when I get the utility bill after I try for a couple of days.
