Thisng are looking good, and you are close to beating the cold weather :) I would suggest you get some of the felt pads for the bottom of the chairs, so they don`t mar the floor.....Tony

Yep Tony, I was thinking about that today when I hoisted the bedroom furniture up to the loft. It's 50's stuff and the bed had some kind of metal ring on th elegs that is sure to mar the floor................

Eddie, we have been living in a 500 sq ft(14x30) apt in the back of our 30x50 quonset since 2007. It's about 150 yds away below is in the pasture. The log house is about at the top of the flagpole up on a ridge(old pic way before house was built):

Then a new photo is needed. Is that the county blacktop road in the foreground?

He officially made it "top shelf" stuff. :)

Love the look of everything. Are those your old chevys out front of the quonset? Me and you could get along fine. Supermotard, old Chevys and a good Bacardi Anejo/Coke Zero with a twist of lime....

When it comes to rum & beer, the darker the better:drink:

Kyle, the one on the left is a '72 long bed work truck /258 straight six/three on the tree & the one on the right is a kinda hot rod '68 short step w/350 auto. I found it for $300 about 3 miles down the road I live on back in 2002 w/ no engine or tranny & will be restoring the '68 when life calms down a bit.

........fire up the wood stove. Cold weather is coming Sunday.
Rick

I had a guy on another forum build me a digital temp thermo with a thermocouple probe I installed in the flue yesterday and also checked for birds/nests. It has adjustable settings w/an alarm for over fire conditions. I have it set to sound at 1,000 degrees and I think it's a great idea. We tend to get distracted and leave a primary or even a door cracked open when getting stoves up to temp which can cause a runaway real quick. Headed up there now to build the first fire of the season.

I am so jealous. No wood stove in our development home. You can but there will be a fireplace in the retirement house though!

The place is looking great.
