The Jerry Can Conundrum

Things that make it hard to get up in the morning:
-Knowing that all 8 Jerry cans full of fuel are at the FRONT of the pickup box and INSIDE the canopy. Ahead of a full pallet of sacked cement with grease guns, chainsaws, and several shovels & rakes on each side. And a fully-loaded trailer that won't let you lower the tailgate because the jack is in the way.
-Having to fill a machine that takes 2 or more Jerry cans to fill
-Having to fill a machine that takes slightly LESS than 1 Jerry can to fill
-Having to unload 8 Jerry cans from the pickup and carry them to a spot you can't back up to
-Not having enough Yellow cans for the diesel and/or Red cans for the gas
-Also having mixed gas in one of the red or yellow cans. But not labeled.
-"Green" jerry cans

Skid tank in Ontario must be bolted to the bed they are carried on (bolted to the trailer/pickup bed). The goobermint changed the ruling 2 years ago.

Still OK in BC for this size container. Ratchet straps will meet requirements.

When I got tired of screwing around with Jerry cans I started using an electric fuel pump. Have a hose that goes in the can, and a hose that goes to whatever is getting fueled. Plug it in and it starts pumping. Far easier and a little bit faster than if I did it manually.

That's what I am currently doing, hoping to build a fuel trailer soon though. The little HF diesel pump empties a 5 gallon in short order! It's certainly a billion times better than holding up the cans though.
