That's not the OP. Check the original post. It comes across like some random poster, not the advertiser, but is clearly fake. I've got no problem with an advertiser identified as such hawking their products to us.

Maybe instead of a push-in style, a quarter turn spiral acceptor might work better so instead of pushing you are turning. Like big truck air lines.

You're right. If you have to buy all the parts, and then put in the time to fab, then just buying the tool isn't so bad.

I think I already had everything but the NPT plug, so mine probably cost me all of $4, plus spare parts already in the bin.
