OK a little more homework and I think I have decided on the 4500 as opposed to the 5210. I have 25 acres and want to thin out the cedars but there is still a lot of good oak and I am affraid that the 5210, though a bigger, heavier tractor, might be too big to get around through the trees. Plus, I am told that many attachments are more expensive for the 5210 and a don't like the collar shift. I have a price on the 4500 4WD w/ pwrreverser, JD 460 loader, and JD 613MX rotary mower for $22000. The dealer says that this is 4% over cost.

Thanks again to everyone. What a great forum!

Congrats Bulverde you will enjoy the new machine. You are right about the implements being cheaper too.

Bulverde, although it's not as big as the 5210, you've still got one heck of a tractor coming. A bit of envy from those of us with smaller versions. Have fun and share some photos with us when you get it /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif
