Texas Spring/Summer Thread

I thought it was raining pretty much all day in most of East Texas east of Crocket.

We are 35 miles west of Crockett. Rain tapers off today.

We are finally getting some rain here. :thumbsup: It has been really dry and all of the previous systems except one have just kept going around us. That one gave us 4 inches but it came so fast most of it ran off.

Even thou we hadn’t had any rain the father n law managed get the tractor stuck in bottom last month but the Power Wagon winched it out once hooked another truck up for anchor.

It stays wet down there all year in places but it’s normally not wet this far up without any rain.

Got about a seven acre patch disced and planted with oats this weekend. Some rain tomorrow evening would be great.

Looks like will get little rain by morning. I need put little rye grass out on the places I fixed with tractor to hold the dirt on hill. Maybe when I get off tomorrow.

I got about .6" of rain a bit before midnight last night and we had a little wind that blew rain through the patio, but I don't think there's any damage around here. But the news media says a tornado hit a part of north Dallas. No deaths reported so far, but 100k without power, some schools closed today, etc. A bit before midnight, we had one of the most persistent lightning displays I ever saw.
