Oh..........Votaw. I have been through Rye and Votaw with Dad when he was a wholesale mattress salesman. He had all of Southeast Texas to cover.

6 to 10 inches more rain forecasted for this area between now and Wednesday.. I will take what I want and send the rest to y'all.. I am glad I didn't sell my boat.. Nice thing, I did get my pasture (80%) of it mow in the last two weeks.. Lou

Heerrre it comes. Looking at 3-5 inches of rain on the way tomorrow, and storms expected to continue through Thursday. Battening down the hatches.

Lou, they are saying up to 15" in places or more. Reminds me of Claudette in 2003 IIRC.

We had a brief shower yesterday; about .02" so with the .07" 2 days earlier, we're still under a tenth of an inch for the month, after more than 14.5" last month.

Now the NWS folks are getting brave and confident; 80% chance today and 100% tonight and tomorrow in the forecast.

I went ahead and mowed most the county road I live on,3 miles cause the grass was 6ft(looked to be Johnson and water grass) or better so my wife or other family/friends don't hit a dang deer. I guess they been busy fixing roads but dang it was ridiculous. Oh and you would know someone left a tire in ditch and they sound great going threw mower,some people just don't care how there county looks,was going to say state but heck hate to see even there yard. They put a bunch chicken house in down the road and come to find out they being ag exempt don't have pay anything more to use road(like oilfield trucks)and they have it where cars barely could get out and the UPS guy got stuck,this is a blacktop road(well was),county cant keep up with it.

Sorry guess that's my rant for the day.

One inch of rain today. Came and went several times with heavy bands. Just enough to clear the algae that bloomed from the Memorial weekend floods. We were on the dirty side. Expecting more rain.

Lots of promises, no delivery here. We had a brief rain this morning, and nothing since. It's dark and windy again, but nothing more than some sprinkles.
