I'm looking for one tractor to: 1) finish cut grass 2) brush hog about 15 acres 3 times a year 3) Get into woods to make wood 4) Work up small areas (1 acre or less) for wildlife food plots. I think I've narrowed my search down to the TC33DA or L3430. I've priced both machines with the same options: FELw/quick attach,R4 tires, 1 rear remote,72" H.D. bucket,72" MMM, grill guard, 5' bushhog. I can get either machine for the same price, $23,500 plus tax.
Here's my thoughts on the NH: I like the more compact design, the SS seems pretty nice although it's more wearable parts. The loader has 300lbs less capacity along with 1000lb less 3 pt capacity. The 0% for 60mo is pretty attractive.
Here's my thoughts on the Kubota: I like the heavier FEL capacity(I'm not sure if 300lbs is a big deal). The 3pt. capacity is more but I can't foresee needing to lift 2600lbs back there, plus I'm sure the front end would be up with that weight. It seems to be more bulky which might not be good in the woods.
Am I being unrealistic with what I'm expecting this tractor to do? I know brush hogging might suffer a bit, but if I go bigger then I think finish mowing will be out of the question. Also why do people compare the TC33DA to the L3130? It seems to me the 3430 is much more comparable in many areas.
Oh well I'm done babbling any advice would be appreciated. Is there any one out there that does the same thing with there tractor? Thanks in advance.
P.S. I'm new here and I couldn't get on the profile page. Also can't indent the paragraphs for some reason?
