Hello. About a month ago I bought a TC29 (manual shifting). When changing gears or changing ranges I almost always grind the gears, sometimes worse than others. This even happens when beginning from a complete stop. Can anyone offer any advice on changing gears/ranges on the TC29 without the grinding effect?

Thanx

If you're fully depressing the clutch pedal a couple of seconds before moving the shift lever, and you're still getting the grinding, it sounds as if you need a clutch adjustment.

Bird, that was my thought as well. To tell the truth, when I bought my TC29D, I didn't really look at the manuel trans. Could there be some type of linkage or springs that might cause a problem?

You may want to check your owner's manual or with your dealer, I don't think the transmission is a syncronized transmission. If it is not, you will get the grinding your talking about (unfortunaetly) If it is a syncro transmission, the gears do continue to spin for a few seconds after the clutch is depressed especially at higher rpms.
