TYM T394 shuttle shift
15 hours on it. Is there a fix for range shifter getting stuck in a gear? This happened when in 4 drive wheel low range. Got it released by taking it out of 4 wheel and rocking forward and back with the shuttle shift. Can this problem be fixed without taking it back to the dealer. I have had it back to the dealer at 5hrs old for a split hydraulic hose because of factory error and cost money for me to truck it 50 miles up and back and it took them over a month for me to get it back from them. Any ideas?

Are you talking range L,M,H on a hydrostatic or a shuttle shift. If it is stuck in L for the range, or M or H. On new tractors they have to be rocked a little to get them in or out of gears. Some people lift the front tires off the ground with the loader.

Shuttle Shift Manual transmission with clutch. Is there any fix for this except rocking? Is there an adjustment that can be made to this, other than fix this by dealer?

If manual transmission is the clutch fully released so tractor will roll easily when clutch is depressed? Pressing the clutch should remove all the engine power to the transmission allowing the gears to move.

The gears are not synchronized and they are also new. So tolerances are tight.

Allstar45, I have the RK37HC made by TYM. It has the same issue even though it's hydrostatic. I have 240 hours on mine and thought it would get better with wear but it hasn't. I use medium range 95% of the time but do use high if driving on the road to the gas station or just riding around the pasture checking the fences. I don't think I've ever been able to shift without rocking some and ever once in a while it's a fight even then. There's been a lot of chatter on this and rocking seems to be the only way that works.

If you have a clutch, check the throw out adjustment. If the clutch is not completely disengaged the drive train is under load and will not shift easily.

If hydrostatic, check to make sure the pedals are adjusted correctly, and you actually are in a neutral position with the load off the drivetrain, when both pedals are free.

Will it shift easily with the engine off and the rear wheels chocked so there is no load on the drivetrain?

I found the service manual online for my T233, and adjusted/lubed the pedals and linkage, because it didn't seem to actually ever be in a neutral position. It always wanted to creep slowly forward or back. After that adjustment, it changed range easily and shifted in and out of 4wd without issue. Adjustment was straight forward and took less than half an hour.
