I've heard that. Some people say that the additives in good deisel fuel are important tho.

If you are concerned about additives just add some diesel conditioner and an ounce or so of 2cycle oil per ten gallons to enhance lubricity. However, I'd use heating oil straight up so long as it was reasonably fresh.

I'm not superstitious, but I am a little gun-shy after paying $5200. to have the injectors replaced in my truck. I got a bad tankfull on the thruway one time.
