Tagging posts with attachments

Now that we have lots of photos attached to posts, one feature I'd find useful would be some sort of tag on the header for posts that indicates an attachment is included. It would make it easy when looking at a flat or heirarchical listing of posts to see which ones have attachments. It would also be nice to have as a search criteria so you can search on posts that have attachments.

Would any others find this useful?

I Have had the same thought. Sometimes its fun just to find postings with pics...a tag would make it easier.

The thought's crossed my mind, too.

When I'm searching for an old picture, I usually wind up with a list of search results and then have to wade through, opening them one at a time to look for the attachment. A li'l flag of some sort would sure speed up that process.

I guess that might be nice, but what I'd really like to see is something a little different, and of course, with my computer knowledge, I don't even know whether it's possible, but . . .

We've gotten so big, I like to read all the posts, and I like to see them in flat mode because there are frequently several "new" messages in the same thread (or with my memory, a new message may not make sense if I can't look at the previous ones in that thread). If I use the 12 or 24 hour method, I get individual messages (of course can then go to flat mode), but that means on down the list are more related messages that I've already read. By going down the list of forums reading the "new" messages (which is what I usually do), there are just so many now that it takes so long to keep changing screens. Anyway, I wish it would just display all the "new" messages, perhaps sorted by forum, but show them in flat mode where I could just start at the top and keep clicking "next" to go through all of them.

Does anyone know if Mohammand does this as a real job? or just for fun? i.e. anyone guess if this site actually makes him some money? I sure hope so with all the work he puts into it, sometimes I feel guilty getting so much for so little/w3tcompact/icons/blush.gif

Unless Mr. Muhammad Chishti hit the New York State lottery or is independently wealthy, one would suspect with all the blood, sweat, tears and time involved… it’s an extremely nice business he’s developed…

I was hoping that Tractorbynet was a profitable enterprise for someone...my thoughts being that if it was making money, it would be around for a while.

With so many dotcoms going broke, it is always a risk I guess. It would be a shame; this site is one of the best on the net./w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

I have bookmarked the location that all the pictures are stored so I can check them quickly. They are the best part of the site - a picture is worth a thousand posts!
