Tachometer not working

My MF 2605L has an issue with the tach. It will work but is only reading about 50% of the actual rpm’s. At low rpm’s it will show no reading.
Hate to think I need to replace the whole instrument cluster.
Any ideas?

With a little luck it may be the sensor. Find it, check the wires, connections, etc. Inexpensive so probably go ahead replace the sensor. You sure do not want to replace the instrument cluster from either a cost OR size of task perspective.
