When removing the key switch from the 770, I had to remove the steering wheel and gauge cluster. To access the panel for the switch.

I started a topic about one pebble started an avalanche of other projects. Thus the term of pebbles and hopefully not taking a a hammer and beat the *#$& out of it. Lol

So, question about the gauge cluster. My gauge cluster barley functioned. I think the oil pressure light a the temperature gauge was the only 2 things that worked out of 6.

After pulling apart the gauge cluster, the face was so heavily rusted from the cracked rubber seal that was supposed to hold the glass and protect the inner items from condensation. It was difficult to read the temperature. Also I figured out wow the fuel gauge didn't work because of a diode was broken off of it. Trying to carefully remove the gauge pointers to remove the face broke from sun-bleached.

So my question is what have you done with your gauge cluster repair? I am trying to get ideas.

I was looking on Amazon, and they sell a fuel gauge and sending unit as one unit. Also they sell a tach hour meter and a temp gauge. I could purchase a used item via ebay for $$$$, but I like to transform things into better use.

Thank you for your response.
