1754 with sensor or control unit issue

Since you had success initiating a manual region on your 1700 tractor, do you think you can initiate a regen whenever you want, even if there isn’t maximum bars showing?
Or do you think you need to have the “regen needed” light on?
I still can’t force a regen. I tried this morning with my tractor at operating temp. No luck.

Perhaps it needs to be at idle, cold, neutral and parking brake light lite?

The following must be true:

Parking brake on
Must be in neutral
Engine must be running

and it sounds like the Manual DPF Switch must be held down for 7-10 seconds which sure seems like a long time.

How many bars are showing on your soot meter?

4 bars show. Been at 4 bars for a while now.

My manual says "Manual regeneration is necessary when the soot level gauge shows 7 or 8 bars" maybe that is also a requirement.

How many hours on your 1754?

My 1736 seems to regen every 50-60 hours. Definitely running higher rpm's extends the hours between.

I have 583 hours on the tractor.

I was wondering if I needed more bars before it would let me do a forced regen. Seems like it used to do a regen automatically when I had 4 bars but perhaps it takes more. Maybe when the 5th bar appears, it will do an auto regen after it gets to operating temp?
There are 8 spaces for bars but only 4 are black.

I just tried to force a region. No luck.
Parking brake lamp lit, in neutral, idling, almost cold engine. (I used it this morning, so it cooled down some.)

Ya I'm guessing you need more bars for a forced manual regen.

If I can remember on my 1736 it never has automatically regened at 4 bars, seems like it has always been 5 bars when it does it.
