I see you have the loader off the 5455 too. Any reason why you don't leave them on to mow? Did you feel that either machine was too light with the Krone and no loader or weights?

Taking the loaders off is a personal preference. I do not like the extra stress the loader puts on the front end running around the hayfield. Plus they just bounce and cut down on visiblity. Any of the 3 loaders I have can be on or off in 2 minutes or so. I used to have a Ford 4600 SU series loader tractor with non quick detach loader on it. I finally took the loader off and left it off after I got another tractor with a FEL. I broke the front end down 3 or 4 times on it. I remounted just before I sold it. The 5455 will not get light at all with the mower on. The T7074 and the MF 4243 are Ok for field use, but not safe to load on a gooseneck trailer IMO. I have not tried loading the Montana yet with the mower on, but I did test it by facing it up a small, but steep hill and letting it roll back and stepping on one brake at a time. You could make the front end slide sideways fairly easily. The MF 4243 I have hauled, the only safe way to load it is backwards. I learned that one from experience.
