"SUV" Tires on a Trailer?

I was rolling down the road a few days ago and saw a trailer hauler moving a bunch of boat trailers. One of the trailers in the stack stuck out to my eyes. It was a very fancy trailer, clearly custom ordered. It had fancy rims like all of the fancy guys run on the new diesels. 18" 8-lugs on the 2 trailer axles.

What REALLY caught my eye was the tires. They were labeled "SUV". Every other trailer had "ST" tires or "Trailer" tires.

Are SUV tires acceptable on trailers now?

What are SUV tires?

P, LT and ST are the only tire service types that I know of.

They are not labeled with a service type. The highest weight rating is 2806 lbs on the 265/75R16, so I would consider it a Passenger car tire.
