Where do I go to get insurance for a John Deere Tractor and/or Combine - I am thinking about getting one used, but have no idea about insurance.

Is it about the same or a lot more than my truck (F250 4x4)?

Check with your insurance agent....it may be covered under your farm or homeowners policy. Otherewise, ask about adding it as an "inland marine" item to your home or farm policy....it won't be covered by auto insurance.

My insurance company( Liberty Mutual) covers my DK45S under my homeowner's policy UNLESS I register it for road travel , then they will not cover it at all. Currently it is also covered by loan insurance thru Agri-Credit, which was less than half of what an independent insurance company wanted.

I'm covered under my homeowners policy, my insurance guy even came out a took pictures when we switched companies a few years ago.

When I bought the machine I financed it thru Kubota and prepaid their insurance for less than $100/year.

Case New Holland has their own insurance company that insures tractors. It is CNH Capital Insurance Agency, Inc. and I think they may insure all brands of tractors. It was cheaper than adding it to my home owner's policy.
