Yeah your right, it was just not ordered correctly apparently. They should have put a lot more effort in figuring out what happened to it.

Unfortunately sometimes once the 'deal' is made it's on to the next deal. I would NOT be pleased with your dealer at all for their lack of caring about the outcome. It does not bode well for your future dealings with him/them, IMHO.

The good news is - you bought a Kubota. At this point, the dealer is hardly relevant as the machine will likely run DECADES without dealer intervention. Just get the website for Messicks and put their phone number on speed dial, and you'll be fine.

I hope for a Speedy resolution to this little saga.

Also an object lesson about why the dealer does matter when buying. A top-notch dealer wouldn't fumble an urgent parts order to take care of a valued customer and then fade away into the shadows when the customer reaches out for help. Hope it works out OK. Keep your eye on that dealer every step of the way!

You have to second this good advice. Things will rarely, if ever go wrong with a Kubota.
If you don't have a good dealer around, Messicks is excellent and on the ball. You can easily look at their parts lists and price things out as well plus check their inventory.

Thats for sure on the reliability, the first one I had 12 years and 2300 hours even dug a 1/2 acre fish pond with it using a little 3 point scoop, never once did it go to the shop. The 3430 I still have went to the shop when it was new for a leaky PTO seal, after that it still going strong after 12 years. The new one I worry about the electronics and the DPF, but alot of the parts look exactly like the 3430 so I'm sure its just as solid. Anyway, one bracket came in today, the other one is in customs in Texas, my luck that will take months. :)

Let's hope not. Glad they got off the dime.

Well, they were suppose to pick up the tractor Monday to do the install, when no one showed up or bothered to call I figured there was a problem. To make a long story short still no bracket, Kubota told me now its between me and the dealer. So I am going to rent a trailer and go pick it up Saturday and try my hand at installing it. I think a machine shop should be able to make the bracket fairly easy. Thanks, hopefully this is the end of the saga.

It still sounds to me like this dealer ordered the tractor separate from the backhoe and didn't order the mounting kit (specific to the tractor). Otherwise I can't see Kubota washing their hands of the situation.

I have never heard of Kubota saying a Kubota problem is between the customer and the dealer after the company had already become involved. In my view, I would not have a machine shop make a part but ask Kubota what's up because something doesn't feel right. The dealer needs to solve this.
