Sticking hydro pedal

What is the organized, logical way to "raise their voices"? Ask the Consumer Products Safety Commission (in the USA) to investigate? Some other agency? It sounds like it would take the clout of a large government safety agency to get the attention of the tractor builder.

What specific steps would you suggest?

Well, individually, I'd start with my dealer. I'd keep pushing to have the issue fixed under warranty. I would not back off if the attempts to fix the issue failed and I would tell the dealer what I've hear about the problem. You need to go through these steps, as frustrating as they may be. Eventually, the dealers hands will become tied and there's nothing more they'll be able to do. At that stage, I'd try and work with the dealer to contact Kioti. I would also then start contacting Kioti myself. I've had great success with Kioti using this approach, although it took time, persistence and patience.

The other thing I would do is use this thread, or start another one, to detail what you're doing. I'd bring all the other sticky hydro pedal threads into it by posting links to them in the one spot. I'd try and get all those who have the issue and who care about it to do the exact same thing (as above) and post their results from their dealers. I'd try to keep the thread as active as possible and post all interaction you were having with dealers and Kioti itself. I'd bring the thread to the attention of Kioti. I would not post contact information for Kioti, but would share it with others by PM to ensure the right people were getting the message.

Everybody will have different results, but if you work with your dealer and work together to contact Kioti and keep it civilized, you'll have a better chance. On the other hand, if Kioti has no real fix, they're probably not going to want to start replacing hundreds of HST's, that'd get a little pricey. Kioti may eventually take the approach that Bobcat took and say that's just the way it is and you need to live with it. I'd make sure I pushed the safety angle hard in that case. It is most dangerous with kids around, it's dangerous to operators near hills and when you're working in tight spaces.

Like I said, I don't have any skin in the game anymore. My problem was also fixed. IF it had become an issue again, I would have continued to press hard.

I don't think I could ever trust one of these tractors again. Why do some do it and some don't? Will the ones that currently are doing it do it in more hours?

I had an '04 CK25 and had no problem with creep at all. 1200 hours. :confused3:

That is the crazy thing about these tractors. I wonder if that tractor would have ever had that problem.

Haven't heard anything about the DK's having this problem, just the CK's.

I may have misunderstood the symptoms.

Is this a matter of the hydro pedal physically (mechanically) hanging-up/sticking in the forward position sometimes OR is it a matter of sometimes, even when the pedal is clearly in the neutral position, the machine still wants to inch forward?

I know some of my Wheel Horse garden tractors have had a tendency to creep a little when the treadle pedal is in neutral.

I never get off any of my equipment, even for a moment, without setting the brake.

Using your foot to re-center the treadle stop the tractor. At first, the pedal slowly returns to the center neutral position and eventually never returns to center. I never had the issue in reverse, only forward.

This has all the same look, feel and taste as the jerky 3pt hitch on the standard L series Kubota tractors. My 2010 L3400HST was a severe case of this, yet others claim they have no problem. Kubota usually officially denies the problem, and has thru some of the regional reps said "that is the way it is". If you want a smooth 3pt hitch you can buy a Grand L. I could not get anyone from Kubota to offer to fix mine under warranty. It was still under Warranty when I traded it off for a Kioti DK35se. It was extremely frustrating, and if you want to read about it, there are dozens of threads here about it. It would probably cost millions of dollars to fix the "hydro neutral drift" problem on these tractors , and It would cost millions to fix all the Kubota 3pt jerky hitches. But the first successful lawsuit for a child run over by a non centering pedal equipped tractor or smashed hand during hookup by someone with a jerky 3pt might change their minds.

Had the jerky 3 point hitch on the 04 Kubota L2800 I had, why I got rid of it just couldn't get use to the idea and I had the new part put in under warranty too. I now have a 04 CK20HST that has the hydro creep too. So got another lemon with the Kioti as well, darn the luck. I hope someone comes up with a solution but it looks as if it is a deny and bury issue.
As someone else said in forward let off the pedal and it slowly go to center, and then creeps forward still until you lift just a little on the pedal (reverse will sometimes not as bad as forward), annoying, since I bought used did not have a chance at warranty claims, so I am stuck with the issue hoping someone can find a easy and cheap fix for it. You would think letting off on a hydraulic valve that it would shut off quickly, the loader valves do.
