Problem is have to turn steering wheel alot with sluggish or no response to wheels to turn

Can you share a few more details?
Do the lift arms work?
Does this do it always?
Did it start gradually, or...?
High /Low throttle?
When was the hydraulic oil suction filter last changed?
Have you ever changed the hydraulic oil?
