Will there be a problem with the metal in the system, or will the filter take it out?

The threads were still part of the rod, they were just out of shape and had to be removed. No metal, or very, very little was in the system. Either way, the filter should take these particles out. Also, if I am not mistaken, destination for said particles would be the tank anyway.
