Needed a weight box to off set the snow plow on the John Deere 4110. I decided to construct one out of steel as it would be more compact and adjustable to my needs. I used some 2x2x1/4 angle I had in stock to form the exterior. I have some 1 1/2x3x24 inch bar stock pieces that weigh 25# each ( according to a bathroom scales) The case weighs 61# and it contains 20 pieces of bar stock, total 561#. The case can be expanded in the present form to hold an additional 200#. I have a set of chains but I hope the additional weight will provide the necessary traction without them.

Looks good. Shouldn't need chains unless you are working on a slope. Now you just have to paint it green. :D
