3-Point Hitch Static engine......

Hi there,

I am Kubota orientated with four machines. I use an L5740 to drive my log processor. This could be done with a static engine, thus freeing the tractor for loading/unloading. I have either the V2203 or V2403MT engines in mind. Has any one added a gearbox with standard tractor PTO output to these engines. I am looking to get about 350RPM out at 2200/2500 RPM in. Any nominations would be gratefully received.

Kubota engines are used for a lot of stand alone applications... also placed in skid steers... You will have to come up with a transmission that you can attach OR a simple multi belt drive and electric clutch off the flywheel... I have that on a 4 cylinder ZTR mower using a Kubota engine... Works slick, with no problems & you could pick any RPM by selecting the proper pulley sizes... KennyV

Thanks Kenny,

I have yet to take the processor to bits. The standard tractor PTO drive works an hydraulic pump, and a belt driven blade. I suspect there will be no room for a belt setup given the need to anchor the engine to the three point to avoid an engine upset (60HP on stall). Since heard I need a SAE dimensioned flywheel etc.
