a rate of 180 is garbage for ac, cut it in half, should still see around 90mbit, -65 is pretty good though, sounds like the bandwidth needs to be increased for ac

are you running the unifi controller to adjust this?

What are the units on the transmit rate?

Thanks!

Received the email today saying to confirm my order. I did that so it looks like I may get Starlink after all. Lol Now if I can make it work around my trees. :D

I do have a question for the folks that have received their kit. How long is the cable that comes in the kit? Trying to decide if I need to order the longer one.

Thanks. That will be close. For some reason I thought it was 100’ but was not sure. 100’ definitely would make the run so I will see what I can do when it comes.

Your memory is fine. The beta test models came with a 100'; the new ones come with 75', and there is a 150' cable available to order if you need it. (You can browse the shop page on your Starlink account.)

All the best,

Not really beta test models. It was the first and second generations of the dish system that were round and came with a 100' cable that could not be disconnected from the dish end. The 3rd generation rectangular dish has a fully removable cable which, as noted, comes stock at 75' but has an optional 150' version that can be purchased.

I’ve had good success putting the SLs in bypass mode and using Meraki MX firewalls handling the DHCP. I let the Meraki MX do DHCP for the regular network and then also do a separate DHCP server on the site to site VPN side. I use their APs to get the smooth handoff between APs throughout the property. I’ve been pretty pleased with these setups thus far. And having the Meraki MX handle two providers in the event of a failover has also been very smooth.
