Standard Fire Wood Length

/ Standard Fire Wood Length #21
Mutt, I've got quite a few white birch trees. Some are native 2nd growth and some I bought as ornamental clump birch. Grow fast. Definitely nice to look at. Bright yellow leaves in the fall.

The ones I bought were no more than 2' "sticks" when I planted them. Paid $3.00 each. Takes a few seasons for the bark to turn white. They got to be 6"-8" at the base in about 7 yrs. before I cut 'em down./w3tcompact/icons/frown.gif. Trouble is that they're a weak tree. High winds and heavy snow can bend and break them real easy. Once they bend over they don't usually spring back.

That's when you make firewood and reindeer out them. /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif
