Coiuld that be a clue? I don't often look at the fuel bowl on mine, but I don't ever remember seeing it less than completely full. If it was half an inch down I'd have a look at why the fuel bowl had air trapped in it.That was incorrect, sometimes like shutting off the key,sometimes dropping rpm up and down then dying ,then a few try’s to start. I go look at clear water separator, and fuel seems to be pretty much to the top maybe half inch down.
