the volumes are different on the cylinder side and the rod side so technically they may move a little but they won't move a lot.

Mine has a tee and ball valves . you have to get out to hook the hoses anyways and having the ssqa cylinder plumbed in permannently just reduces the chances of contamination.
Correct.

A crossover relief valve works on a snow plow as it has 2 single acting cylinders with equal volume. If you put a crossover relief valve on a double acting cylinder it doesn't do anything. The bottom of the cylinder has more volume than the rod end because of the volume the rod takes up. You end ip with a vacuum in one end or overpressuring. In either case nothing moves until the seals leak.

I wonder if anyone has tried a push/pull cable to operate the SSQA from the tractor seat? I see them used in some fairly heavy duty construction applications etc. I'm thinking similar to those used on remote valves but probably more heavy duty.

Even if the arms are greased and working perfectly that’s a big order for a pull cable. I frequently have to beat on mine with a hammer or use a cheater pipe or jump on them. There’s no way a cable would work.

Being playing with that idea in my head for some time, but haven't gone around to it. Maybe one day.

On mine, since I have the Euro quick attach, it would work very well. It's a single lever operation and it always moves very nice, smooth and free. I could even made spring loaded to lock and then pull the cable with a latch to keep it open.
