Yeah that cell service (or lack there of) negates many popular options. Now take no power, no local phone or cell service and you are very limited. Then add 90 minute LE response time and you are pretty much at natures mercy.
Installing Solar, batteries and Starlink seems like more of draw for theft than nothing at the property.

Now if a neighbor would let you piggy back on theirs you might have an option for reasonable costs.
Tried a bridge service for a year… my then renters were related to a neighbor with service. The sending point worked for Microsoft and put together a system.

It worked but a couple of times a month the routers required a reset…

This was circa 2012.

And in another situation, my neighbors quit paying their FHA mortgage loan and are now squatting in their 'own' home, tax and 'rent' free !

I wonder for how long… I know a few that got years not paying during the 2008 crash and again during COVID…

I have been dealing with HUD on a property for over two years now.

It could have been squatted on and or rented, leased in a positive way, but nooooooooo.....their bureaucratic ineptitude rules the day.

Yup, starlink needs power and as said, a solar panel could do that. I have cellular Moultrie game cams that work very well for a cost of $10 a month. They will search and pick up whatever cellular service is strongest in your area so they're not limited to one carrier. The Moultrie game cams are also available with a solar panel to keep the batteries charged. In the 3 seasons I have used mine, I've never had a single issue.

Are any of these able to start with motion such as a vehicle or person walking down the gravel drive?

I’m afraid if real time I would be fixated on my phone from 850 miles away…

So yes, both can be that way. You could do starlink and then setup security cams that are triggered by movement. Or, the Moultrie game cams are motion activated as well. For the cost, I think a game cam with solar panel may be a great option.

Mine are motion activated. Since they are game cameras, I think most are activated that way. Some do video. If you are willing to pay for the subscription, you get a lot more pictures and a few more options.

When we were building the house we lived 3 hours away. We had a guy on the property. The deputy showed up and he was on the cam, too.

With my Moultrie's, the $10 a month includes like 500 pictures and 10 videos. For .99 cents, I can add 100 videos or an additional 1000 pictures.
