I am looking for a simple and hopefully inexpensive way to spray for bugs on the back side of our house. The way the hill slopes it is about 20-25' high from the ground on a decent slope. I am not overly thrilled with the idea of trying to put an extension ladder on the hill against the house and climbing it with a garden sprayer. Don't really want to get killed spraying for bugs....
I was thinking about somehow using the compressor and a long tube so I could stand on the ground and apply the chemicals. Sort of a suction feed or something similar. I would like to have some control/accuracy over the delivery of the chemical so I don't hose the windows down and such.
Anyway, any ideas or anything you all have built to do this? - Thanks!

Super soaker? Sorry only half kidding. I think the issue is finding a low volume pump that can lift that high. I'm thinking you could fab an extension for your hand sprayer and possibly adapt an Schrader valve to the sprayer so it could be charged with higher pressure from an air compressor. Something along those lines anyway. An old metal sprayer would be great because it would handle the pressure better.

A 10 ft piece of copper pipe , 1/2 inch , sweat some ends on it to adapt the sprayer . A 6 ft man , a 10 ft pipe , you are at approx 14 to 16 ft . spray will reach another 2 ft , use a step ladder and you are almost there

I used one of the 1 1/2 gal. pump up sprayers and it would reach almost to the top of the second floor. Soapy water for beetles and other critters that breathe though their tracheae.

I bought a 9 gal. 12v sprayer 1.8 gpm pump and a hand wand . Use for dandelion and clover . With the nozzle adjusted it will shoot a stream 25 ft . if the wind is calm .

Think adding more "tube" to the sprayer maybe the answer - avoiding ladders on that darn hill is my BIG goal!
